A safety plan is a written set of steps that you can follow when you're having thoughts of suicide. It helps you recognize warning signs and know exactly what to do to stay safe.
This is not a contract. It's a tool to help you during difficult times. You can always call 988 or go to an emergency room if you need immediate help.
